CancerCon is THE gathering for the adolescent and young adult cancer community. Each year, we bring together hundreds of patients, survivors, advocates and health professionals to learn, share, and build community.

Call for sessions is now OPEN!

We are seeking professional speakers and experts to conduct open, interactive, and age-appropriate sessions tailored to the unique and unmet needs of the adolescent and young adult cancer community.

This Call for Sessions will serve both Live and Digital CancerCon events and we welcome you to submit a proposal to be considered for both conferences or just one event.

Deadline to apply is February 26, 2024.

Interested in being a CancerCon Keynote Speaker?

We invite proposals for dynamic Keynote Addresses, spanning educational insights, TED-talk-style presentations, or compelling personal narratives, each lasting up to 25 minutes. We embrace diverse presentation styles, from personal testimonials to one-person shows to interviews.

Proposals will be reviewed and decisions rendered on a rolling basis for both Live and Digital CancerCon events.

Want to help someone have the life changing experience of attending CancerCon Live?

CancerCon is my home away from home. It is one place that I feel like me and don't have to pretend to be  something that I am not or worry about being judged by others. My CancerCon community is my second family.

- Jessica
I came by myself and was immediately embraced by this community. It's a safe space that's completely free of  judgement, made up of other people who get it. I've felt more myself in the past few days than I have since my  diagnosis- I didn't even realize how much I needed it! I'm so lucky that I've found my people.

-Christina
As soon as I arrived, I felt at home with no worries or shame. Without this I wouldn’t have been able to find a  strong community and build awesome friendships

-Jorge
"As a first-time attendee, it has definitely lived up to the hype. This has been a very meaningful, positive and uplifting experience."

-Joel
"Digital CancerCon literally changed my life. I'll be forever grateful. Love to all of you!"

FAQs

So much! Access to 20+ breakout sessions on important topics, our exhibit hall with amazing resources from dozens of great AYA-supporting organizations, tons of social activities, 2 days of breakfast & lunch, 3 evening receptions with appetizers, attendee swag bag, and so much more. CancerCon Live will take place at the Omin Atlanta Hotel at CNN Centers, located at 100 CNN Center, Atlanta, GA.

Should you require hotel accommodations, we have a block of rooms at a discounted rate at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center (where CancerCon will be hosted…how convenient!). We strongly encourage you to stay at the conference hotel so you don’t miss a thing! This limited block of rooms is offered at a very special discounted rate of $195 for single/double occupancy for reservations made by July 28, 2023. To get in on this deal, use our special link: stpdcn.cr/CCL23hotel.

We want to share the life-changing CancerCon experience with as many AYAs as we can. To help our community get there, we’re offering a limited number of need-based scholarships to help patients & survivors attend CancerCon Live 2022. See if you qualify at stpdcn.cr/CCL-Scholarship

Not at all! In fact, a lot of attendees come alone and every year, about 60% of CancerCon attendees are first-timers. This is an experience that will not only connect you to critical resources, but also to each other. So whether you’re planning to come solo or with a crew, you’re guaranteed to make meaningful connections or even leave with a new best friend.

We know that COVID is still a concern for many in our immunocompromised community. However, as the overall COVID landscape has improved considerably over the last year, we will not require documentation of vaccinations or a negative test to attend CancerCon Live 2023. Masks and tests will be widely available throughout the conference; attendees are encouraged but not required to test and mask as appropriate.
