CancerCon is THE gathering for the adolescent and young adult cancer community. Each year, we bring together hundreds of patients, survivors, advocates and health professionals to learn, share, and build community.
Interested in being a CancerCon Keynote Speaker?
We invite proposals for dynamic Keynote Addresses, spanning educational insights, TED-talk-style presentations, or compelling personal narratives, each lasting up to 25 minutes. We embrace diverse presentation styles, from personal testimonials to one-person shows to interviews.
Proposals will be reviewed and decisions rendered on a rolling basis for both Live and Digital CancerCon events.

We are seeking professional speakers and experts to conduct open, interactive, and age-appropriate sessions tailored to the unique and unmet needs of the adolescent and young adult cancer community.
This Call for Sessions will serve both Live and Digital CancerCon events and we welcome you to submit a proposal to be considered for both conferences or just one event.

Pre-conference activities start on Thursday, August 17th. The conference officially opens with General Session on Friday, August 18th and ends on Sunday, August 20th at 2:30pm ET.
CancerCon Live will take place at the Omin Atlanta Hotel at CNN Centers, located at 100 CNN Center, Atlanta, GA.
Should you require hotel accommodations, we have a block of rooms at a discounted rate at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center (where CancerCon will be hosted…how convenient!). We strongly encourage you to stay at the conference hotel so you don’t miss a thing! This limited block of rooms is offered at a very special discounted rate of $195 for single/double occupancy for reservations made by July 28, 2023. We know that COVID is still a concern for many in our immunocompromised community. However, as the overall COVID landscape has improved considerably over the last year, we will not require documentation of vaccinations or a negative test to attend CancerCon Live 2023. Masks and tests will be widely available throughout the conference; attendees are encouraged but not required to test and mask as appropriate.

Digital CancerCon this year kicks off on Thursday, April 18th, but you can join us on YOUR schedule over the action-packed weekend of fun, education, and networking.Â
The Digital CancerCon this will have a mix of recorded presentations and live discussions, so you can meet and learn your AYA cancer community on your own terms during the weekend.Â
Yes! All webinar presentations will be recorded and available to view on demand on Stupid Cancer’s website after the conference. For the privacy of participants, discussion sessions and social activities will NOT be recorded.
Yes! Please download the Zoom app to your computer and make sure it’s updated to the latest version.
For any of our webinar-style sessions, you may come and go as you please! However, you must join discussions sessions on time — latecomers will NOT be admitted into the session, so we recommend that you plan your schedule beforehand.Â
Yes! During our live sessions, you’ll be able to talk and chat with your fellow attendees via Zoom. You can also hop into our new Digital CancerCon community chatroom at any time to interact with AYAs across the country using Slack, a free-to-join instant message platform. We’ll have special channels for you to meet other AYASs with shared backgrounds, and you can initiate private one-on-one or group chats anytime.
Yes there is! CancerCon is a hybrid program, with Digital CancerCon in the spring and CancerCon Live in summer. The next CancerCon Live will be in Austin from August 15-18, 2023. Registration and scholarship applications will open in early May.
